“This Last Year My Biggest accomplishment at the gym was Losing 30 lbs. I had a Trak meal plan / diet sheets handy at
my house, and used them for guidance...” - David
How did you feel before you found TrAk?
Sedentary and tired.
How do you feel now?
Much more energized, sleep better, overall health is better.
How has TrAk changed your everyday life?
Although I had a membership, I had a job with wildly random hours which prohibited my attendance regularly. Trak was a big part of my decision to change to something new that allowed me to actually go to class and achieve my goals. Oh, and I like the new job too.
What personal failure has helped lead to your ultimate success?
Having a heart issue was a real setback, and the cause of some "heavy breathing" at class. Coaches have all been patient and understanding, and I have had great cardio improvement.
Which sport/activity would you love to do, but are afraid to?
I love the "flying" sports, I grew up in a "hang-gliding" area in Northern Michigan. But since I won't be jumping off of, our out of anything on purpose, I'm going to let this one go.
Best piece of advice you've ever received?
I was headed out for an audition conducting the Peabody orchestra in Baltimore. I remember one of the works being "La Mer" by Debussy, quite a toughy for a young conductor. My professor/mentor shared a little nugget that was shared with her..."Don't mess up." Ok, not exactly those words, but quite funny considering the source and setting.
Something interesting we don't know about you?
Professionally, I am a musician, but I've had a good time flipping properties over the last couple of decades. Honestly though, my current home may be the last rafter crawl and floor install.
What do you like most about being apart of the TrAk Family?
Members and coaches are friendly and encouraging.
Biggest accomplishment at the gym?
V ups (and various moves). After many random flailing attempts, I thought,"Do I even have the body parts that make this happen?" Some core and hip flexor strength snuck up on me, and the impossible is now possible...I'm more surprised than anyone.
Also, Losing 30 lbs. I had a Trak meal plan / diet sheets handy at my house, and used them for guidance.
