What have you accomplished in your life that you're most proud of?

Winning a Division II Lacrosse Championship in college after joining the team on a whim! It was one of the scariest things I've ever done, but I ended up being pretty good at it, played all the time, and then we won the GMAC that year!

If you could take 3 months off and do whatever you wanted, what would that time look like?

My husband and I would take an extended trip to Alaska! We want to take a long trip and go exploring there when he finally moves home at the end of this year!

How did you feel before you found TrAk?

Before finding Trak, I was unmotivated to go to the gym or workout, and I was tired and stressed all the time.

How do you feel now?

Since finding Trak, I feel like I have another family. My gym fam keeps me motivated, always laughing, and always wanting to go to the gym, even when I have a bad day.

How has TrAk changed your everyday life?

I feel like I have more energy after attending a Trak class! I recently switched careers and am able to attend morning classes again, and I feel like my whole day starts out on a better, more energized foot.

Goals...personal, professional, family?

My personal goals are to get fit and gain some more confidence before summer rolls around!

Professionally, I am brand new to a completely different career field, so I just want to learn all that I can to succeed in this new position!

Family wise, my husband will move home at the end of this year! We are looking to buy a house and settle down while he finds his next career move! Once we are all settled, we are looking forward to growing a family of our own!

If you were in a band what existing band/group do you see yourself  in?

I have no musical abilities, but if I could be in any group it would be Chasing Denver! They are an up and coming country duo and I absolutely adore them! They have the best sound and they really connect and interact with their audience!

Best place to travel that you've ever been?

Cape San Blas, Florida! Beautiful white sand beaches, the BEST stuffed shrimp you'll ever have in your life, and some of my favorite family memories!

What personal failure has helped lead to your ultimate success?

Realizing that the degree I got and the career field I chose was not for me. It took me a while to come to terms with this, but taking the leap and switching careers has been so amazing thus far! I landed at a great company with a team of people that are just like myself! I couldn't be more excited to see where this new career will take me!

What’s the craziest thing you've seen in the gym?

Hicksy, the first time I ever met him, wearing shorts two sizes too small and very short because he forgot his!

What three people [living or dead] would you go camping with next weekend?

If I could, I would love to go camping with my husband and his late father! To spend some more time with him and allow my husband to have some more time with him, would mean the world to me.

Which sport/activity would you love to do, but are afraid to?

Ice Luging! We love to watch the winter olympics, and this sport looks very exciting, but extremely scary!

Favorite movie?

Instant Family! If you haven't seen it, it'll make you laugh and cry and everything in between! It's a wonderful movie!

Best piece of advice you've ever received?

The grass is greener where you water it! I feel like we live in a time where everyone is quick to jump ship (be it fitness plans, relationships, jobs, etc.), but the grass doesn't always turn out to be greener on the other side. I truly believe you get the most out of things that you put work into! I have especially found this to be true in the past few years being in a long distance marriage! We struggle way more when we don't find the time and put in the effort to communicate with each other! I've come to realize that commitment really is watering that grass to get the most out of every situation, instead of just moving on and hoping the next thing will be better.

At what age were you in the best shape of your life?

22, my senior year of college when I was on the lacrosse team! We ran more than we ever did in soccer, and we lifted throughout the entire season!

Words to live by or favorite quote?

Grow where you're planted! If these last few years have taught me anything, it's that life is extremely unpredictable and you never really know where you're going to end up. I've just learned to really focus on the present and make the best of every situation.

What adventure do you plan to have in the future?

My husband and I plan to take a super late honeymoon to Alaska!!

Favorite book and why?

The Rockton Novel series! It's one of the only book series that I have read from start to finish, in about a week at that. I mystery novels that are written in the first person, and this series is absolutely amazing!

Something interesting we don't know about you?

I am a HUGE advocate of pitbulls! We have two of our own, and I truly believe they are the most misunderstood breed of dog. I would run a pitbull sanctuary or rescue if I could! I absolutely love watching Pitbulls and Parolees!

What do you like most about being a part of the TrAk Family?

That it truly is a family! Yes, I love the workouts, but a lot of people at the gym will tell you that I really come for the socialization. I love my Trak family, and beginning or ending my day with them always leaves me feeling happier and less stressed than when I walked in the door!

Biggest accomplishment at the gym?

I think my biggest accomplishment through Trak was completing the Murph last year! It was extremely challenging, and I am NOT a runner, but my friend and I knocked it out last year and I am looking forward to completing it again this year!
