What have you accomplished in your life that you're most proud of?
-This year, hands down, has been the hardest year, yet the best year of my life. I have had the amazing opportunity to rediscover myself again. I’m proud of myself for having the strength, heart and determination to face my fears and continue the course, even with the unexpected road blocks and set backs that were placed along my path. So, to sum it up, my greatest accomplishment allowing myself the time and effort to grow me!

If you could take 3 months off and do whatever you wanted, what would that time look like?
-I would travel the world. I’ve never left the United States and would love to travel parts of Europe and Asia. I’ve always been fascinated with different cultures, wildlife, landscapes, cuisines and ways of living. I’d love to immerse myself in that and discover the unique and diverse areas of this world.

How did you feel before you found TrAk?
-Before TrAk, I felt out of shape and without a healthy routine. My self confidence was low. I felt stuck in unhealthy habits.

How do you feel now?
-I’m a completely new version of me. Hands down, 100% happier, healthier, stronger and more motivated than ever!

How has TrAk changed your everyday life?
-It has built routine, confidence, friendships and joy into my life. Every morning I wake up, make coffee, allow myself time to meditate and wake up before I get going to TrAk. I’ve learned the importance of time management and how awesome it is to be “the dreaded morning person”. That’s how I used to view it... I’d dread waking up early. Now I crave the next day. I look forward to waking up early. I enjoy seeing the sun rising. And I can’t wait to see the smiles (and sometimes yawns) on all my gym friends’ faces when I walk in. And now, instead of sitting inside and watching tv all day or on my phone all the time, I want to explore the world more. Get outside. Go places. Meet new people. Motivate and share my newly found energy with others. TrAk truly has changed my life and has helped set my life down a course I never imagined could be possible!

If you were in a band what existing band/group do you see yourself in?
-Oh wow... this is tough. There are so many! I always loved the Jack Johnson vibe. The idea of singing and playing the guitar next to a beach, under the stars, has always been a soothing visual in my mind. Recently I’ve been listening to bands like Surfaces. Definitely love the tropical soul and reggae vibe. Or, to go a completely different direction.... Traditional Irish music. I secretly want to learn the violin one day and get into an Irish jig at some hole in the wall pub one day. 😂

Best place to travel that you've ever been?
-Marco Island in Florida is one of my favorite places in the world.

What do your kids remind you that’s ok to do?
-I have no kids at this point, but I do have a two cats, brothers Shakka and Sabre (Saber, not Sabreh- for all my The Office friends out there 😉) On a daily basis, they remind me that mid day naps are definitely ok to take.

What personal failure has helped lead to your ultimate success?
-There are too many personal failures to say just one... But I will say this: I have learned something extremely important. Failure is ok. In fact, failure leads to possibilities I have never thought were possible. When I fail, I become uncomfortable. I used to dread failure. Now, I welcome it. Sure, ok... I’m not saying I strive to fail... BUT, failing leads to feeling uncomfortable. And “Uncomfortable” leads to growth. Growth leads to success. I’ve made some seriously bad mistakes throughout my life... some that have broken me down to the point of not knowing who I am, what to do or where to go next. However, those difficult seasons of life unveiled the most incredible strengths inside of me. Strengths I never saw in me when I’d find myself in a complacent, comfortable type of living.. I think of the scene in Batman where young Bruce Wayne falls into the well and is surrounded by bats. He’s scared, stuck and hurt. And then Alfred, his butler, comes and pulls him out. He then says to Bruce - “Why do we fall sir? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up.”

At what age were you in the best shape of your life?
-33 (now)

Words to live by or favorite quote?
-Have a goal in mind. Then, start moving toward it. The hardest part of starting any journey is taking the first step. After the first step, take the second step. Large or small, just keep stepping. Not every step will land on the same terrain. Not every step will feel the same. Some steps will be harder to take than others. But each step will move yourself closer to your goal. Visualize the finish line. Have faith in yourself you will reach it. Just Keep Going. And remember...The reward (confidence, fulfillment, joy, experience, love, happiness) isn’t found at the end of the journey. The reward, itself, IS the journey.

What adventure do you plan to have in the future?
-By God’s grace: My own business on the beach, a beautiful home, and a beautiful wife with three kids.

Favorite book and why?
-Lord of the Rings trilogy - Adventure, Good vs Evil, Companionships, Loss, Greed with Power, The power of love and truth. Light vs Darkness. The impossible being possible. It has it all in there.

Something interesting we don't know about you?
-For as quiet and introverted as I am, I love acting on stage in front of crowds, public speaking and have performed in musicals/plays at a younger age. I also enjoy writing. I proofread all my friend’s papers in college. 😂

What do you like most about being apart of the TrAk Family?
-Everyone who comes to TrAk is there for the same reason... To better their lives and encourage others in the same way. You can’t find that just anywhere. No matter how I am feeling that day, I walk in and walk out of TrAk feeling happier, healthier and accepted for who I am It’s a truly remarkable place that has helped transform me into who I am today, along with many many others.
