
What have you accomplished in your life that you are most proud of?
-Raising three amazing kids (young adults) is by far my biggest accomplishment. It’s the hardest job I’ve ever had, but by far my favorite & most rewarding! I am who I am today because of my children! They teach me lessons every day & help me to be a better person.
If you took 3 months off & could do whatever you wanted, what would that time look like?
-I would spend that time with my friends & family, preferably traveling. Mostly, though - Spending quality time together. No masks & lots of hugs.
How did you feel before you found TrAk?
-Unmotivated- mentally & physically.
How do you feel now?
-Fantastic! Always excited to go to the gym. I look forward to my workouts. I may think ‘oh boy, today’s a tough one’, but always feel so pleased when I have completed it, often surprising myself with what I have accomplished! I love seeing my friends & TrAk family every time I am there!
How has TrAk changed your everyday life?
-It is a core part of my daily life. It has made me a happier, healthier, more confident person. It has pushed me to put deeper thought into my life in areas other than just exercise. TrAk reminds me how important it is to exercise my body, mind & soul!
Goals...
-personal- where do I start?! To continue to grown & learn. To always be willing to have new experiences & enjoy life! Also- need to work on meditation.
-professional- I am SO fortunate! I love my job! I’ve been working as a nurse at the Oak Clinic for MS for 9 years. I am the manager of the infusion suite that we have. It has grown at an unbelievable rate over the years. I hope to continue to grow, learn & evolve as new medications come out so we can serve our patients as best as possible!
-family- my goals as a family are to always appreciate our time together & continue to make wonderful memories!
If you were in a band, what existing band/group do you see yourself in?
-So.... I don’t have much musical talent. I can play a mean cow bell & do love a good dance party though! LOL
Best place to travel that you have ever been...
-St. Croix, USVI. Beautiful!!! But I truly enjoy travel ANYWHERE as long as I am with friends or family. I love a good road trip!
What do your kids remind you that it’s ok to do?
-To slow down & enjoy the little things- to have fun! And as Sierra says- it’s ok to have happy hour! LOL
What personal failure has help lead to your ultimate success? -I can’t think of a specific ‘failure’, but I know the times that I have failed myself are when I get too crazy, busy or stressed to remember the ‘big picture’ & what is most important in life- family, friends, & taking care of ourselves.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen in the gym?
-Separated square boxes to workout in! But it has worked so well & i’m so grateful to TrAk for figuring it out!!! Being in the gym is so good for me- mentally & physically!
What three people (living or dead) would you go camping with next weekend?
-If by camping, you mean being in a cabin with a bed, shower & toilet.... I would definitely choose my brother who passed away 15 years ago. I couldn’t choose two more people after that- I’d have to invite the whole family so we could all spend time with him.
What sport/activity would you love to do but are afraid to do? -Skydiving. I think you’d have to push me out of the plane.
Funniest thing you’ve seen your kids do?
-They literally make me laugh every day. I am so grateful for that!
Favorite movie?
-Most recent- The Peanut Butter Falcon. Favorite old movie... What About Bob?
Best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
-Don’t ever stop learning & growing as a person.
At what age were you in the best shape of your life?
-I would say now (although I have a goal to lose 7 pounds before we leave for vacation). I don’t think I have ever been as strong as I am now.
Words to live by or favorite quote?
-I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel. ~Maya Angelou
-Also... ‘Do more of what makes you happy’. It’s a keychain that I have hanging on my purse.
What adventure do you plan to have in the future?
-My bucket list item... would love to go to Bora Bora & stay in one of the huts over the water.
Favorite book & why?
-Honestly, can’t think of a specific one, but Where the Crawdads Swim is next on my list & I hear it’s great! Most of what I read is medical stuff so that’s not super exciting.
Something interesting we don’t know about you?
-We have a farm with 2 horses, 1 pig, 2 goats (one of them only has three legs) & a bunch of chickens. Also, I LOVE doing Stand up paddle-boarding!
What do you like most about being a part of the TrAk family?
-Everything. I truly believe no other gym is like TrAk. It’s a family that supports & encourages one another in so many ways inside AND outside of the gym.
Biggest accomplishment at the gym?
-Passing my goal of 400 classes & heading on my way to 500! But even more than that- consistency.
