Kara Schlegel

Kara was born and raised in the Akron area. She grew up LOVING sports and everything that went along with it. From competitive athletics to Olympic lifting, she has been exposed to an incredible array of fitness modalities, as well as coaching experiences within them.

But as it does with many women, motherhood shifted her focus. Her two beautiful children and her experiences staying fit with them has shifted her focus to studying and practicing pre/postnatal health and helping other women become the strongest moms they can. Kara feels that having the ability to relate to, motivate, and coach moms and moms-to-be is incredibly fulfilling. She believes that surrounding oneself with supportive, like-minded people is key to self-empowerment.

Fun Fact: Coach Kara is the first athlete in TrAk history to finish Murph wearing a weighted vest and also ankle weights. Go Kara!
